Presentation #1: Historical Introduction--Using PowerPoint and short video clips, I introduce the selected book--historical setting, characters, and propose the historical conflict they will read about in the book.

Presentation #2: Book Discussion--This question and answer session allows students to debrief the major action of the book, fate of the characters and impact on future historical events.

Audiences: 3rd through 8th grade

No Cost Meet the Author Visit: 20-30 minutes; I will review, based on grade level, the book selected by the teacher. I will explain the historical setting and introduce the main characters and action. This will motivate students to want to know more about "What really happened?"

In-Depth Visit Length: 30-45 minutes; After the class reads the book, students can de-brief the outcome of the historical events, the storyline and the impact on subsequent history through a question and answer session.

In-Depth Visit Cost: None; I do ask that you purchase at least five paperback copies or one paperback and one electronic PDF. The books are all available through my website.
