Presentations:

Flexible, depending on the needs of the audience.

Format wise, Jess prefers to do a brief introduction to her experiences on the given topic, then to open the floor for questions and two-sided communications rather than to lecture to her audiences.

Topics covered at previous conventions, conferences and events include: Freelancing 101, How to Break Into the Gaming Industry, World Building, How to Create Believable Characters, Women and Gaming, Sexism/Ageism in Fiction and/or Gaming, Fairy Tales: Traditional and Recreated, Making Monsters: A How To Guide, What's Scary (and Why).

Jess specializes in the following general topics: writing, life as a freelancer, creative professionalism as a parent, women's/girls' issues, horror, fairy tales and folklore, urban legends, alternative/traditional religious beliefs, cooking/baking, historic themes, retelling traditional stories, fantasy/urban fantasy, games, and roleplaying games.

Having worked on all of White Wolf's current game lines, she's also willing to speak on specific roleplaying games, such as Vampire: The Requiem, Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening, Promethean: The Created, Changeling: The Lost, Hunter: The Vigil, Geist: The Sin-Eaters, Scion and/or Exalted.

If you're looking for something that's not listed, please contact her. She'll be straightforward with you about whether she is qualified to discuss your desired topic on a professional basis.

Audiences:
Any. As a mother, Jess has no problem discussing writing, storytelling, gaming or other topics with students of all ages, children and young adults as well as parents. As a professional writer and game creator, she's more than willing to speak with aspiring writers, game creators, and game players. As an avid reader, she's happy to discuss just about any literary topic with fellow enthusiasts.

Available Times:
Flexible, depending on schedule. Please contact to discuss. Jess is on Arizona time so North and South American locations may find it easier to connect with her, time wise. She's willing to miss a little sleep to speak with those in other locales, however.
